Winter Adventures are in Full Swing

Winter Adventures Are in Full Swing ❄️⛷️

Winter has officially arrived, and with it comes an exciting season of Winter Adventures at Ascendigo! From fresh powder days to confidence-building moments on the mountain, our programs are creating meaningful, inclusive experiences for individuals on the autism spectrum.

Private Ski Lessons and Après Custom Care programming are available through April 12, offering participants the chance to build skills, independence, and joy both on and off the slopes. These COOL opportunities are designed to meet individuals where they are—supporting learning, connection, and fun in a winter setting. Be sure to visit our Winter Adventures page to learn more and secure your spot.

In December, our Adventures team took inclusion one step further by training 23 Aspen Ski Pros in autism-friendly techniques and adaptive instruction. This training equips instructors with the tools to create a more welcoming and supportive skiing environment for individuals of all abilities—expanding impact well beyond our own programs.

And the momentum continues! Just last month, Ascendigo delivered 40 ski lessons to kids and adults with ASD and other differences at Snowmass and Buttermilk Mountains—nearly double the number of lessons provided in December 2024. Thanks to our skilled instructors and dedicated partners, more participants than ever experienced the freedom, confidence, and pure joy that come from being on the mountain.

We’re thrilled by this season’s growth and grateful for the community that makes these adventures possible. Winter isn’t just about snow—it’s about opportunity, inclusion, and shining brighter together. ✨
