Julie Kaufman – Director of Development
Julie brings over 15 years of nonprofit development experience having worked in all aspects of fundraising including grant writing, annual giving, major gifts, corporate support, and capital campaigns. Her most recent position was as Vice President of the Aspen Valley Hospital Foundation (AVHF). Prior to working at AVHF, she was Director of Operations and Development at The COMMIT Foundation, a national organization serving American Veterans. Her other development roles include Grants Specialist at The Children’s Museum of Denver and Development Director at a local Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Lehigh University. Julie lives in Glenwood Springs with her husband and two daughters, enjoying the wide variety of activities the mountain lifestyle offers. She also has a nephew with autism so she already feels a strong connection to our community. Julie is thrilled to be joining the passionate team of professionals at Ascendigo and is excited to work with the board, staff and our many supporters to advance our exceptional mission.
