Today, we highlight Life Enrichment Skills Trainer, Murphy Wight! When we asked Murphy what he loves about being a DSP at Ascendigo he said, 'The mutual shared growth that you can experience with a client is the most special experience for me, but seeing how excited people get when they ski/surf for the first time is the best.'

From LIfe Enrichment, our Assistant Director of Case Management, Julia Derdas, shares a little about what she loves about the DSP aspect of her job and how her team members truly shine in making a difference.

'I love getting to spend time in the field with our guys because it lets me see the progress they’ve made in building new skills! Witnessing a request for more time in transition where there used to be property destruction or new independence in a task that previously required tremendous oversight, are some of my favorite things to celebrate! Plus, a day on the slopes or boats with our adventuresome participants allows us to share our passions and talents with them, and cheer them on when they reach new milestones in those skills!' - Julia Derdas, Assistant Director of Case Management #DSPRW2020

The Ascendigo family is so proud and appreciative of Justin's efforts for not only overcoming adversity amidst the cancellation of the Boston Marathon, but also for running to help #elevatethespectrum for individuals with autism.

The Town of Carbondale recently launched its 'Love Local' campaign, which kindly encourages Carbondale's residents and consumers to support their community by spending their hard-earned dollars locally.

In addition to this, Love Local is all about looking out for the health and safety of others by continuing to follow social distancing guidelines, maintain hand-washing habits, and wearing a proper face covering when in public as required by the public health guidelines from Garfield County Public Health.
